Because I liked it then, and I still like it now.

  3. Mimi, have you found my other gravatar yet?

I haven't put it in here (Google) yet because I haven't had much time for messing around with the computer this week.

  4. Mike, do you mean the flowers gravatar? I've seen that in the comments on other blogs.

  5. No, that's the Blogger/Google one. There's another one showing up in Halscan. It's the one that's just for you.

You'll find it in Father Jakes comments and also in the comments in my blog.

I just tried to put in the Google/Blogger account, but it's not showing up yet. But then, everyone's gravatars seem to be gone this morning in Blogger.

  7. Oh ... now all the gravatars are back. You can see both the old one and the new one, I think.

  8. Mike, that's the Duomo! I climbed the 463 steps to the top when I was in my sixties. I couldn't do it today. Maybe that's what ruined my knees. It was worth it. The view from the top was spectacular.

  9. I thought you'd like to "revisit" it. I climbed up there many years ago. Didn't try it on this last trip though. My feet were so sore from walking around I didn't want to try those steps!

  10. I love that you can walk across the city, (more or less) but it is hard on the feet.

  11. So Mimi, I wonder who does these Karaoke things...I love the words, but there was a sort of mess up in the lines
"I remember all that you said,
Told me love was true to be in...etc."

    I believe that line is
"I remember all that you said,
Told me love was too _plebeian_",

a lovely word we don't hear much anymore.
I wish I could remember who actually wrote it.

  12. Susan, you are right. Here's a link to a site with the lyrics.

You drove me, nearly drove me, out of my head
While you never shed a tear
Remember, I remember, all that you said
You told me love was too plebeian
Told me you were through with me and

  13. Yes, I saw that. But who actually wrote it?

  14. Oh, I found it...Arthur Hamilton! Never heard of him...guess I'm too young!
