WAXING CRESCENT MOON AND PLANET VENUS

Last night the sky was a clear midnight blue, and the waxing crescent moon and the planet Venus put on a splendid display.  My photo, taken with my inexpensive camera, does not do the scene justice, nor does the picture give the true color of the sky.

Here's a link to a truer photo of the gorgeous scene.

  1. Who wrote the haiku? It's as lovely as the photo.

  2. Ormonde, thank you. I wrote the haiku. Shall I sign it?

  3. I hope you saw the Venus/Crescent Moon show tonight as well -- evem more lovely, with the two heavenly objects side by side. Rainy in NYC last night -- missed it then.

  4. Murdoch, the two were beautiful again tonight, with Venus still to the right but lower than moon. I suppose I'm moonstruck, because, if the night is clear, the first thing I do when I step out is look for the moon.
