SEE THIS TREE...

...which still stands on display in my living room?  I said yesterday that the tree would come down, but it has not happened.  Maybe today, but I make no promises.  The Nativity set remains on display also, with no "It's still Christmas " excuse left, because here in south Louisiana, the Carnival season has begun, and king cakes are all around.

    1. My Nativity set is still standing, and we have not had king cake yet. I expect someone will bring king cake to the potluck after the silent comedies on Friday.

    1. Stuart, it's a king cake to celebrate Epiphany. The dough is twisted and then formed into a ring and covered with icing after it's baked. Here's a link to more info on the king cake tradition in New Orleans and south Louisiana.
