PLEASE PRAY FOR MR CATOLICK

Mr CatOLick, creator of the bitingly clever videos which caricature the follies of church folk, mainly those in high places, is going through a very bad time.  He needs our prayers and our support now.  Let him know you care either at his blog or on Facebook, if you are Tom Catolick's friend.
O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers: Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to your servant Mr C the help of your power, that his sickness may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

A PRAYER FOR THE CROWN NOMINATIONS COMMISSION

Mr CatOLick offers for our personal use a prayer for the Crown Nominations Commission as they begin the process of choosing candidates for the position of Archbishop of Canterbury.
Dear Father,
Help the CNC members to put away their own agendas and let them know that they, and their tribes have had their time.
Help them to listen to people outside of London and not to just give lip service to the northern folk.
Father, we just ask that you show them how to get their secretarial work right and pass on information.
Father, put your protecting power around their photocopier so that documents can be read.
Father, help them to remember more and more that Oxford and Cambridge are not the only universities in England.
Father, help them to show compassion and love, cast out any spot of arrogance and high handedness, and protect them from snobbery and pomposity.
Father, let your Holy spirit come down and work amongst them.  Let them know that you know the secrets of all our hearts and know even the secrets of the CNC.
Amen.

'CALLING THE ARCHBISHOPS' BLUFF'

Don't blame me. Blame Mr C. In my heart, I can't blame him at all. It's way past time for the misogynistic nonsense to be over.

In the event that you don't understand Mr C's every word, the transcript is at his blog and at YouTube.

WISDOM FROM MR CATOLICK

The scandal of Christmas is that you are asked to forgive. In the teeth of your anger and your lust for revenge, whilst you feel hurt and justified in your attitude and your position, the child asks you to forgive. Whilst there is blood all about and screaming in your ears, whilst the spit hits your face and the teeth are bared towards you, He asks you to forgive.

The scandal is that He asks you to do this without them seeking forgiveness; there is no desire for repayment sought, only the desire to pay, to put right, to restore goodness.

PS: It's still Christmas...the 3rd day.

'DANSE MACABRE' FROM MR CATOLICK

Excellent video from Mr CatOLick.

The gentlemen in the danse are Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, former Canon Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral, Giles Fraser, and former Dean of St Paul's, Graeme Knowles.

MR CATOLICK FROM THE STEPS OF ST PAUL'S CATHEDRAL

Brilliant! This may be Mr CatOLick's best video ever.

Should you have any difficulty at all understanding Mr C's every word, please click the link to his website, where he's posted a transcript, along with the video.

MR CATOLICK HAS A BLOG

Check it out.

Besides his brilliant videos, Mr CatOLick posts cartoons, and writes blog posts. Below is a cartoon from his blog.

The guys are English, but the humor translates to this side of the big pond.

UPDATE: SCG at Wake Up and Live makes the videos with Bishop Yellow Belly and Ms Young Person. I mistakenly attributed them to Mr CatOLick.

BISHOP YELLOW BELLY ON THE DEFENSIVE

The wikileaks of the Anglican Communion has Bishop Yellow Belly on the defensive, and Miss Young Person on the outs with the Mother Church.

Thanks to SCG at Wake Up and Live.

THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND - TWO VIDEOS

First from Mr CatOLick, whose video is a response to the Church of England video. You may or may not want to watch the CofE video first.
