O God, the strength of the weak and the comfort of sufferers: Mercifully accept our prayers, and grant to your servant Tom the help of your power, that his sickness may be turned into health, and our sorrow into joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
....
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: give strength to those who care for Tom in his needs, that they may have confidence in your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PLEASE PRAY...
for my friend Tom who had surgery for a brain tumor on the Monday after Easter. Tom is home now, but his recovery is slow. The tumor is diagnosed as a "glioma - low-grade malignant", and Tom will need 6 weeks of radiation. His partner is stressed right now, and both need our prayers.
Prayers for Tom's healing and for peace of mind (and help, at least with the care, if he can get it) for his partner.
ReplyDeleteI know a little of what they must be going through as my first husband had brain surgery for a large type 4 high-grade malignant glioma. It was a tough time for us all, but two years later he was in full remission. Unfortunately, there can be much uncertainty about the outcome of treatment, at least for high-grade tumors, and it is frightening for anyone to contemplate damage to, treatment of, and healing of the brain - patient and caregiver alike. Hope both have good support from the outside, as well. Prayers ascending.
Klady, thanks. From what I've read, Tom has a pretty good chance to go into remission, but, as you say, it's a tough time for them.
