"The 'T' in LGBT"

Watch the video, and then go read Katie Sherrod's remarkable post at Desert's Child titled "The 'T' in LGTB".

The "T" stand for transgender, the letter in the foursome that seems to receive the least attention, although it is the least understood by many of us.

The video is a commercial for a bank in Argentina. It's extraordinary!

H/T to Mark Harris at Preludium and to Ann at The Friends of Jake for the video.

  1. I've seen this video from a bunch of sources over the last day or two.

The timing is... interesting. A friend of a friend of mine is being denied gender reassignment surgery by her Primary Care Trust. I've posted about that here. People who aren't UK citizens or residents can't sign the petition, sadly.

  2. I hadn't seen it until today. We'll never see a bank commercial like this in the US.

I'm sorry that I can't sign the petition.

  4. No, Mimi -- we WILL see it here -- just not now - sadly.

  5. SusanKay, you're right. We will see it, but not in my lifetime, although my 8-year-old grandson told me that he thought I may live to be 100. Should I take that as a prophecy?

  6. Thank you, Mimi. I saw it here first and immediately posted it myself. Awesome.

  8. I agree. Won't see it in Mimi's lifetime. Possibly not in mine (I'm 46)
