Reasserting my proviso that four down football isn't a real sport, I do appreciate the sense of a perpetual underdog team which appears to be on a roll.
And the New Orleans Saints once had a nice young man from North Battleford Saskatchewan on their roster.
I am the least of football fans, but the game had me truly excited. Here in Thibodaux, the schools had a Saints Day, and at church Sunday, many wore their Saints tee-shirts. Guess what our closing hymn was.
Josh, we like the Mannings, too, but in this case....
I hope that the Super Bowl game is as exciting as the championship game, but I don't know if that's possible. And I hope the Saints win. Whether they do or not, they are a great football team - spoken by one who is not a football fan. Thanks for your prayers.

Well then, Malcolm....
ReplyDeleteLOVE it!. My summer and fall in NOLA taught me what blessedly dedicated fans the Saints have and I wish them success.

ReplyDeletePurdue fans know what miracles Drew Brees is capable of. I am so glad for his success with New Orleans.
ReplyDeleteNaturally I hope the Colts and That Manning Boy do well, but I'm openly praying For All The Saints.
