AMAZING CREATURES

If Gilda said so, it must be true.

  1. For me, it's a paradox. Rationally, I think "Dogs like to stick close, expectantly, to the two-leggeds they think will feed them." But more often (irrationally) I'm all "Aw, Doggies! Wubz!" <3<3

[I sometimes discuss my rational theories re canine behavior WITH doggies, but they just cock their heads & wag their tales. "Oh Pak Leeder, wot u yammering on bowt now?" ;-p]

  2. BTW, Mimi, how is dear Diana?

    1. Diana is fine except for occasional bed-wetting during the night. She's not quite as peppy on her walks now that summer has arrived.

  3. Giving unconditional love. Why do you think it so easy for dogs and so difficult for humans?

    1. 8th day, that is a good question. Maybe it's partly to do with feeding, as JCF says, but the dogs could just eat and go their way. But they love closeness, contact, and interaction too. And they love us even after we scold them.

  4. Let's hear it for cats, too! Anyone with four feet and fur qualifies!

    1. Yes, let's hear it for cats.

      I don't know about that, whiteycat. :-)

    2. Well, almost anyone. There are some exceptions, I'm sure. Certainly we can include domesticated four footed with fur.

    3. Indeed. I think of the possums and nutria that Diana and I sometimes encounter on our nightly walks. I would not want to befriend either. Oh, and the lingering odor from the occasional skunk, although I hear some folks have the glands or whatever causes the odor removed and enjoy their skunk pets.
