  1. Love the photo - but the message is true for all pets.

  2. Aw!

Has it gotten cold down your way, Mimi? How's sweet Diana doing?

Meanwhile, in (completely ignored) California, Gov Brown is about to officially "declare a drought" (actually, it was Mother Nature who did that :-( ).

    1. Last night the temp was 20°. Diana is in the house and well-protected from the cold. Today will be warmer than the past two days. I'm sick of winter already.

  3. It was so cold here that my heat pump went south; -3 below. While I and the wee kitties were indoors, it was a bit nippy for almost 24 hours. All the heating and cooling repair businesses are working almost 24/7 right now. What a baby I have become. I can remember relentless days of below zero temps in Colorado and enduring them without a qualm and never missing work unless the roads were closed. Now I think real hell is any day that the temps are below freezing. Give me toasty warm--that's heaven.

    1. The workmen finished installing the new heat pump yesterday, and now the temperature is rising, but I'm sure we will have more cold weather. At least we have a heater in the bathroom, so we did not have to freeze while showering.

    2. Sorry to hear that you had to replace the entire heat pump. Mine only needed a little electrical work and got fixed within 24 hours.

    3. Bonnie, the heat pump was old, and we were not surprised that we needed a replacement. We were surprised at how much the new one cost.
