Dog Logic

The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue. - Anonymous

A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. - Josh Billings

  1. Lovely post, Gram, as I lie in my bed with my four darlings all cozy and comfortable, surfing the web with my lap top. They are one of God's greatest gifts to me.

PS Did you hear the one about the dyslexic, agnostic, insomniac?

He spent the whole night lying in bed wondering if there was a dog.

  3. I know some great corgis! I love my Scout, who doesn't seem to mind all the really silly nicknames I have given her!

  4. I read your blog regularly, Grandmere Mimi, but have unlurked to ooh and ahh over the cute dog photos! I am currently without dogs, having lost all three of mine (from different causes) within one year, but do love them. One of these days....

  5. Being Peace, Tinker is adorable.

Diane, I have more. This is only the first installment. I didn't want y'all to overdose with cute.

Pat, welcome. Three dogs in one year? How terribly sad. My sympathy to you. I know you'll get another.

When our Rusty died, I said that we would not have another dog, because it hurt too much when we had him put down because of being too sick from lymphoma. Within six months we adopted Diana.

Thanks for unlurking and leaving a few words.

  10. Thanks for this, and also for "Why Some Women Have Dogs Instead of..." (which I have already shared around!)

Did you know that my personal dream is to have a Lab (see re fetching puppy) and, if that goes well, to have a Bassett, too? [Love the group puppy pic!] Has anyone out there ever had this combination?

  11. JCF, our Diana is part Lab and part a smaller breed. On her chest and feet, she is spotted like a Dalmation.

My son has three Bassets. They are good dogs, but they can be high maintenance.
