sad news today.
ReplyDeleteI've spent the day wondering about why we keep seeing these things happen. Easier access to firearms? Shoot'em-up video games (I lay part of the blame here)? glorification of violence in entertainment? media hype over these events causing others to want this sort of effect from their own evil behaviors, etc etc etc?
Of course we have all been left to wonder the same thing every other time something like this has happened.
I wish that we had the answer.
prayers and thoughts for everyone involved.
Dennis, I read at MSNBC that the FBI said that this did not appear to be a terrorist attack. How does one define a terrorist attack? Must one be a card-carrying member of al-Qaeda to be classified as a terrorist?
ReplyDeleteI really don't know.
ReplyDeleteIt seems odd that every year or so we get another good reminder that the most dangerous threat we face isn't usually "over there" but is from the actions of dangerous and violent people among us.
Praying these prayers with you. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSee, Mimi, that's what I'm talking about... I throw a bunch of badly cooked spaghetti against the blog wall and you craft a meal of extraordinary delicacy and taste.
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely got class.
