The Episcopal Café

Jim Naughton and the group at The Episcopal Café have put together a fine web site. It includes news, art, meditations, and other information on the Episcopal Church and religion in general.

Last night, I was finally able to register to comment. I was already in the system, but I had lost the information that I needed to sign in. Nicholas Knisely at the technical end was quite helpful to me in resolving the problem.

You might want to pay them a visit.

  1. Dear Mimi,
My name is Mel Ahlborn and I am the Editor of the Art Blog at Episcopal Cafe. I will respond to your request for posting a comment to the Art Blog, and also answer your question about using Marilyn Dale's work in a non-commercial blog.

On posting a comment at Episcopal Cafe, the Cafe's policy includes this sentence: "At Episcopal Café, we hope to establish an ethic of transparency by requiring all contributors and commentators to make submissions under their real names.*". We respectfully request that you use your full real name in any comments at the Episcopal Cafe.

To answer the question about using Marilyn Dale's art from the Image Shop at episcopalchurch.org: the Image Shop policy is "All symbols are under copyright of the artist, licensed for use by the Episcopal Church, and available for free download by visitors to the web (for non-commercial purposes only)." So, I interpret this to be a yes, you may use the art on a non-commercial blog.
    I hope this is helpful.
    in peace,
    Mel Ahlborn

  2. Mel, you want my real name. Sorry, I did not know. I will be transparent in the future. I do answer to Mimi; that's what my grandchildren call me, but rules are rules, and I understand.

Thanks for the information about the art work.
