My post on the MadPriest photo contest is gone, [I] deleted [it]. I had misgivings about posting it in the first place. I should listen to my inner voice. When I don't, I often make mistakes.

how did that happen?
ReplyDelete"I should listen to my inner voice. When I don't, I often make mistakes." Me, too. You are such an honest woman, Grandmere Mimi. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteDiane, I deleted it. Perhaps that's not clear from my statement. I thought better of posting it, and I took it down.
ReplyDeleteJan, I did not think it was honest to delete the post and pretend it was never there.
Thanks. I would say, sometime before Christmas, I will be in a position to post a likeness of myself. Unfortunately, heavy medication messes you up physically and I'm only, this year, getting myself back into some sort of physical shape. It's a slow job but I'm getting there. I know - all is vanity. But on the other hand wanting to look relatively human for you people is giving me just the incentive that I need to start taking more care of myself.
ReplyDeleteMadPriest, I understand, and I'm glad I took the post down.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking for myself, I don't care what you look like, but if looking better gives you an incentive to take care of yourself, then that's all to the good.
Meanwhile, I'll picture you looking like Quasimodo, if that's OK by you.
Are you familiar, Mimi, with the expression "pushing it"?
ReplyDeletewhat did I miss?
ReplyDeletewith classes on Friday and Saturday and work the rest of the week I'm starting to miss too many fun things in the crowd.
perhaps I should quit both my job and school so I can stay in touch!
MP, good luck on the diet. I've been doing the South Beach diet for a few weeks and this morning I stepped on the scale and I've already lost 11 pounds. I've found that letting everyone at work and school know that I'm on a diet has given them permission to nag me about it and keep me going. Secret diets don't work because it is so easy to cheat on them.
Dennis, you did not miss much. The contest had barely started when I decided to take it down.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess that from here on in, we'll have to check in every day with you and MP and nag you about your diets.
Oh the woes of being a blogger! I never knew I'd be forced to become a nag.
I love us all, no matter our shape or size!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'll keep on imagining MP looks like the Beast...from Beauty and the Beast.
I think Quasimodo might be too lumpy..but that's just me.
The beast is too hairy for me, Eileen. I'll take lumpy to hairy.
ReplyDeleteBut the beast turns into a prince. There's that on your side.
