You Are Chardonnay |
Fresh, spirited, and classic - you have many facets to your personality. You can be sweet and light. Or deep and complex. You have a little bit of something to offer everyone... no wonder you're so popular. Approachable and never smug, you are easy to get to know (and love!). Deep down you are: Dependable and modest Your partying style: Understated and polite Your company is enjoyed best with: Cold or wild meat |
How much do I love this? Let me count the ways.
I'm not much of a chardonnay drinker, but I'll take the results of the survey in a heartbeat. Only four questions? They can tell this much about me with four questions? What's with the "Cold or wild meat" business?
Thanks to Padre Mickey for the link.
I came out Merlot. Which is ok, although I prefer Medoc, but I draw the line at greasy pizza, so I won't post it.
ReplyDeleteI am a total red wine girl...I rarely meet a cabernet I don't like! However, in this quiz I am came up just as Grandmere did - Chardonnay!
ReplyDeleteAnd happily so for its description and for being in the same great company as Grandmere Mimi!
Mimi, I shall soon regale you with my story about Spain!
Chardonay (which I don't that much care for) so looks like we've got something in common.
ReplyDeleteI'm also chardonnay, but I'm not much of a wine drinker. However, when I do drin, I prefer light whites. But I'm glad to be in Mimi's wine cellar!
ReplyDeleteWe gonna be crowded in our Chardonnay section of the wine cellar.
ReplyDeleteMe? I'm a Shiraz or Merlot person in real life.
Grandmère, Moi aussi--Chardonnay! At least I seem to be in very good company.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of wine am I?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...cheap, frequently overlooked, and often underappreciated?
Or just ol' Boone's Farm Strawberry? In which case: cheap, little missed, and best forgotten?
Boocat, yay! yay! Chardonnay!
ReplyDeleteRmj, say it ain't so! OK, I'll say it, "It ain't so."
I was complaining at my blog about coming out Chardonnay since I am dedicated to red wines. But now that I learn that Grandmere and Jane R. scored as Chardonnay also I can only conclude this must be a good thing. It seems that a whole boatload of us are classic and easy to like.
ReplyDeletePaul, I don't drink it either. I just score it.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that a whole boatload of us are classic and easy to like.
Then why isn't the world a better place?
"What wine quiz??" said I when I saw your comment.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm a Sauvignon Blanc: laid back and young at heart.
Where's Dennis?
PJ, maybe Dennis don't do wine quizzes.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you sound nice, too.
I also Chardonnay, which is pretty funny as I am ABC (Anything But Chardonnay) drinker.
ReplyDeleteDepending on my mood and food I like anything from a big jammy old vine Zin from Amador county to a crisp Pinot Grigio.
IT
IT, I'm not too sure about the "Dependable and modest" and the "Understated and polite" for either you or me.
ReplyDeleteDennis did this wine quiz over at Padre Mickey's (q.v.) and came out a Pinot Noir.
ReplyDelete- - - - - -
When I was a sommelier I had a few little questions I would ask if people had no idea what wine they wanted and no food had been ordered yet.
I would ask what soda they drank, how they drank their coffee, what their favorite fruit was, etc. It nearly always worked.
Of course, far better was to ask them what wines they usually drank.
And if it was a male with a little jewelry and female to impress I always told him about the "special" wines I had that weren't on the list (i.e. expensive bottles that I couldn't move and couldn't convince the distributors to take back.)
Dennis, I have been all around saying how impressed I was with your comment at SF. I was there for another link, and there you were highlighted on the left panel. I began to read that awful post and the worse comments, and I completely forgot what I went over there for.
ReplyDeleteI went to your blog and left a word, so I guess I have that covered. I won't link to them.
Trust an ex-Sommelier to score the only Pinot Noir I yet heard about.
ReplyDeleteAs I said somewhere. I scored Chard, but like many of you, prefer Reds (Southern France) and ABC: Savignon Blanc, Reising, Soave.
There's an "L" somewhere in Reisling, isn't there?
ReplyDeleteJohnieb, I can't believe you came out Chardonnay. Did you tell the truth?
ReplyDeleteIT, I'm not too sure about the "Dependable and modest" and the "Understated and polite" for either you or me.
ReplyDeleteMimi, you have a point. I think this exposes the quiz as fatally flawed.
Ain't no one ever calls me "understated".
Oops. that was me, IT.
