I Will Write

Good morning, all. Happy Thursday to you. Je suis occupée des affairs. You know - real life, family, washing clothes, all the interesting and dull happenings of ordinary life.

I did not return home until last night, and I do not have a laptop, so using the internet while I was away was limited to dealing with urgent email messages and a few comments to blogs, as I was paying by the minute for the use of the computer.

My chef d'oeuvre on the gathering will very likely appear later today.

  1. Ah well, so long as you're back safe and sound, dear.

    Until next time.

  3. Yeah, me too! Glad you got back okay.
Oh, if you put up any pictures, will you identify the folks? It seems that it's a big secret. Perhaps it's supposed to be.

  5. I can hardly wait to hear your take on everything I missed - like the "High Tea" (With wine and other libations present, it was a new definition of 'high') and Evensong and the beginnng of the meal at the French Restaurant.

    Welcome home!

  8. Nothing much happened? Just the before-Evensong wine and the Reading of the Epistle from Mad Priest (courtesy Allie); the standing, the kneeling, and juggling of Hymnal, Psalter, LEV (the faux Hymnal), and for those select few (not my part of the pew), the GTS Looseleaf Notebook, the gowns, the cross, and the clouds ascending; the trek to the Restaurant (once Mimi said goodbye to the receptionist, the lorry driver, and everyone else hanging around GTS); the thoughtful selection of food and wine (remember, you, johnieb, picked the wine for dinner?), the spirited conversations (don't you remember Tobias and Mimi on the Roman Catholic Church?), and ... then, only then, did That Kaeton Woman arrive, and ... the rest was History.

Glad to hear you made it home safe and sound, Mimi. I still would rather fly Jet Blue than the others -- I've spent a lot more time delayed at O'Hare on various airlines and know plenty of people stuck at airports elsewhere becaue the airlines wouldn't even give them a delayed flight but had to wait to get on the next day because, of course, nowadays there are few unbooked seats on later flights. Oh well. Maybe next time we can caravan by bus. Imagine 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall with the MP crowd next time you're stuck in an airport.
