Happy Thanksgiving, My Canadian Friends!!

BONNE ACTION DE GRÂCE, MES AMIS CANADIENS!!

I tried to find a definitive history of Canada's thanksgiving celebration, but each account that I found was different. One of the articles mentioned "turmoil" in settling on the official history of the holiday in Canada. If any of you Canadians provide a link to a good historical source, I'll add it in an update.

UPDATE: Tim Chesterton provided this link to a history of the Canadian holiday.

  1. Thank you, Mimi! We just finished having our turkey and pumpkin pie with my daughter and her fiancée and my son. The weather up here is cold and rainy today, but we still enjoyed our day.

As for our history, I think this link is pretty good.

  2. Tim, thanks for the link. The weather sounds pretty miserable, but I'm glad that you and your family had a good day.

  3. Hello, Mimi!

I've been derelict in commenting and even checking in on the Episcoblogosphere lately, but I blurk here when I can! Just wanted to say hello and blessings to you. :)

    Happy Thanksgiving indeed!

  4. merci Grandmere Mimi

Sunday saw my HUGE family once again blessed to be together in thankfulness.

Monday was a glorious day here in Montreal, perfect for the pup and I to make a long, mindful walk of thanksgiving along the aquaduct.

now today, Tuesday we vote in National Elections- hopefully for a change of government.

Hi David. Sounds as though you had a lovely day with your huge family and then your thanksgiving walk with your pup.
