Mark Begich(D) defeated convicted criminal Ted Stevens(R) in the Alaska race for the Senate. Old Intertubes is out. That can only be good. Even if he had won, he probably would have been expelled from the Senate, and Sarah Palin could have run for the seat. Besides, Mark is a lot better looking.

ReplyDeleteThe best part of this is that it has closed the seat to Palin. It was considered her best chance to stay in the public eye at the national level for the next four years.
ReplyDeleteNieman Marcus posted a 27% fall in sales for the last quarter. Even Wasilla Hillbillies shopping-till-they-dropped - silk boxers for the First Dude! - couldn't save them.
Silk purse/sow's ear comes immediately to mind about the First Dude.
ReplyDeleteSarah is determined to have her place somewhere in the leadership of the Republican Party. She draws crowds and could probably help with fund-raising, but she will want a payoff in return.
