Thanks Be To God!

My grandson was accepted into the high school of his choice, the school that his older brother attends. He's taking the separation of his parents quite hard, and, had he not been accepted, it would have been a terrible blow to him. Normally, I don't have much patience with the mentality that not getting into the right school will ruin a young person's life, but, in this case, my grandson didn't need another big disappointment coming right at this time.

    thanks be to God indeed!
I'm thrilled for both of you, and may this be only the beginning of wonderful things for these boys in their lives.
And may Grandmere continue to be surprised by joy!

  3. Yes, thanks be to God, and many congratulations to him. Probably needed at least one GOOD thing to happen!

  6. Oyster, although you're not a native of New Orleans, you've taken the ways of the city into your heart. You know what going to the "right" high school means in New Orleans. One of the first questions asked upon meeting another native of the city for the first time is "What high school did you go to?"

  9. Thank you all. I'm very happy for him.

The prayer posts, remind me of the "Sacred Heart Messenger" that my grandmother subscribed to. Folks sent in prayer requests and then sent in thanksgiving messages when the prayers were answered.

Now I see this as a ministry for all of you, and for me, too and I'm thankful for it.
