I'm Baaack!

Today will be a slow day for blog posting, because I have much to do in my off-blog life. Erika has already sent pictures of our bloggers' gathering, and I will try to get those up soon. I had a glorious time. Any of you thinking of going to England, do include the North if you can. Why did I wait 74 years to go there?

  1. Yes!

Leeds (and York) was lovely - Liverpool less so - in fact the ugliest spot in the universe ;=)

And DP and Mrs DP, and Erika and Mrs Erica, and all the others were soo lovely!

Good to see you back in the blog world.
And I agree with Göran, everyone was a complete delight.

  7. Welcome Back, Mimi!

Glad you had such a great vacation and especially glad that you were reunited with your wallet/purse/billfold.

  8. Welcome back, Mimi. We would love at least a description of MP. ha. Glad you are home safely with wallet!

  9. Glad you're safely back. Hope Grandpere didn't get up to mischief whilst you were away. Poor man was probably chained to the kitchen table the whole time.

  11. Hurrah! You are back safely. So glad you had a good trip and were able to meet some of our cyber-friends. Rest up. Looking forward to hearing more. But do rest!

  12. Göran, it was lovely to meet you. I loved your clerical collar.

Ostrich, I'm sorry we didn't get to meet. Maybe one day....

TheMe, I'd already fallen in love with you online, and your Beloved said, "Take him; you can have him!" so I'm saving my money to fly you over.

Seriously, it was wonderful to meet you and Beloved. I'm sorry I didn't get to hear your sermon at MadPriest's church, but when I talked to him Sunday afternoon, he said it was excellent.

Erika, it was lovely to meet you and your "better half" and to spend time with you. Thanks for taking the pictures. I was all out of energy for picture-taking

SR, your packet was wonderful and too funny. Erika sent a picture of me looking at the calendar and laughing. I'll post it later.

Thanks to all the folks "over here" for the welcome back. Traveling is great, but it is good to be home.

  14. Grandmere leaves the UK and Obama flies in. Should we be reading some deeper message in this turn of events?

  15. SR, I suppose the two of us in England at the same time would be, as the French say, de trop.

  18. Yippee!!!! The blogosphere has simply not been the same without you, Mimi!

    Love,

  19. KJ, there is actually a shred of offline life left, but Grandpère is annoyed at the amount of time I spend at the computer. I'm going to try to accommodate his wishes, but it won't be easy. It's all or nothing for me. Moderation seems beyond my grasp.

Hi Doxy, love. It's good to be home and with regular access to a computer, but I needed time away from the blog, too. I hope all is well with you.

  22. IT, the stories of my adventures and misadventures will come over time, and there are many to tell.

David, tu es tellement très doux, mon cher. Merci.

Crapaud, Chackbay? Mais, non! Thibodaux is small-town enough. I am, at heart, a city woman.

Welcome back Stateside, Mimi! [But will the pound-of-flesh (removed by MP) scars heal? ;-/]

  26. Margaret, Fran, Erp and JCF, thanks for the welcome home.

JCF, no pound of flesh. MadPriest and Mrs MadPriest were lovely. I'll probably ruin his reputation by saying that, but it's true.

  27. Oh, I hope you hit it off wonderfully with the MadPriests, Mimi, and I hope that all of you cried when you parted and that you got face washes from the collies.
