It really is the cutest little ass I've ever seen. Of course in a different vein I think my babies when they were tiny probably deserve the same accolade.
Margaret: It's mules that can't have asses, but mules had to have an ass for a parent....preferably their mother! No "yo' mama" jokes; I'm feeling quite assine here on the farm....;>= amyj
Mimi, I got caught up in silliness! I typed it bass-ackwards.The father is preferably the ass....and the mother is a mare. I have 2 mules too..I know better. (Well, DH has the mules.) More than you ever wanted to know about assines and equines. amyj
amyj, My stepfather bred a jack to Belgian Mares. They made the most beautiful, large mules. Yes, some mules are beautiful. He always said, "Anyone can make a horse _look_ good, but good looking mules are born."
Susan: We have Red (male mule) and his mother Doll. Doll is a Belgian. Beautiful flaxen mane and tail. Red is rich red (!)and 17 hands. They are gorgeous, noble looking animals. Red loves licorice, and Doll loves Altoids.
We also have Kate, the remaining mule from a matched bay pair. Rhodie died 3 years ago. Kate has never recovered from losing Rhodie. They were a sight to see! They were/are draft mules. Can you tell I adore them? amyj
My stepfather used them to plow the tobacco crop 3 or 4 times before it was 'laid by,' every year.
There is a man in Lebanon Tennessee named Rufus Reese who supplies the Grand Canyon with mules. My stepfather says they are the 'plug' mules that he can't show or sell to others. They may not be the beautiful ones, but their feet are steady on the trails, and that's what's important there.
I saw this funny picture showing a cart up ened this little donkey was calmly hanging in midair with its legs dangling and the caption was HOW YOU KNOW YOUR ASS IS TOO SMALL, And that donkey looks more intellegent then a lot of our politicians

ReplyDeleteI consider myself to be something of an ass officionado - and I have to say, that is SO GORGEOUS!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, now I have seen perfection, I shall depart in peace.
Amelia, my babies' asses were pretty cute, too.
ReplyDeleteOstrich, so then this is your nunc dimittis?
I have three cute asses! I call them Tess, Priss, and Flash. I had just came back in from scratching them when I checked in and saw this!
ReplyDeleteamyj
I won't say it's the cutest I've ever seen but it is very cute.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember --can asses have asses? --or is it donkeys that can't have cute little anythings????
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm just all messed up about this --it is the cutest little thang... !

Absolutely the cutest!
ReplyDeleteAmy, three cute asses!
ReplyDeletePaul, would you care to share with us about the cutest ass you've seen?
What's the daddy of a mule? A horse?
I kinda wanted to see the little ass's ass to see if it was cute, too.
Ben oui, c'est trop mignon.
ReplyDeleteHas Kirkepiscatoid seen this yet?
ReplyDeleteReally adorable. So furry!
Descended from Baalam's (or Bileam as we say) no doubt (Numbers 22-24).

Silliness rules!
ReplyDeleteAmy, I never can keep the ancestry of the mule straight. I know that they're sterile. That's right, isn't it?
Yes, Mimi they are sterile but not necessarily celibate.
ReplyDeleteMuthah, thank you for that, love.
ReplyDeleteMy father had a dumb joke about constipation in the Bible that had something to do with Balaam's ass being stopped.

Amy and Susan, I truly enjoyed your chat about mules. Really. No snark.

ReplyDeleteKee Bird, amen to that.
It is fascinating to see a new comment on this post on asses just 3 or 4 months shy of your original post, Mimi! Nothing ever disappears, eh?
ReplyDeletesusan, from time to time comments come in to some of the oldies.
