Happy Birthday To Paul The BB!

Today Yesterday Paul celebrated his life on this good earth for 63 three years. Don't focus on the number of years, because Paul is young at heart, and he looks far younger than his years. He is soooo good-looking.

Watch over thy child, O Lord, as his days increase; bless and guide him wherever he may be. Strengthen him when he stands; comfort him when discouraged or sorrowful; raise him up if he fall; and in his heart may thy peace which passeth understanding abide all the days of his life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

And please go to Paul's web site to read his post titled A Modest Proposal on his idea for a moratorium.

  1. Thank you, sweetie.

I was pleasantly surprised that all day yesterday I felt much younger and full of energy. I suspect I owe much of it to NOT acting my age, a practice I intend to maintain to my grave.

Zotney thinks you are a total sweetheart too. He partied last night, having reached the ripe age of 30. Today it is likely that supper may be leftover chocolate birthday cake; back to eating sensibly on Monday. Greetings from his sisters and all the gang at Desert Farne.

  2. Paul, I want to leave a couple of comments at your site, but I'm on sloooow wireless, and your blog takes forever to load with all the pictures. If I'm ever successful, I'll say what I want to say.

My love to you and the gang at Desert Farne.

  4. The feminine version of Benjamin Buttons. MadPriest didn't like the previous picture. He said he didn't even recognize me from it. I thought this version of me might be more helpful.

  8. P.S. You share a birthday with Dear Friend's mother, who turned 87 yesterday. She's an amazing lady. It must be a good day for amazing people to be born. :-)

  9. Perhaps the birthday was yesterday. Paul's comment about it below came in after midnight here, but I now realize that it was still yesterday where Paul lives. I'll correct the post when I find out for sure.

  10. I was just confused. I'm sure it makes no difference to Paul, and he thanked you very sweetly. His manners are obviously better than mine. ;o)

  11. I cheated. I did not do more than hint at the event until midnight was approaching and may well have posted after the date changed but before retiring As I posted today,I was born on May 8, the feast of Dame Julian, V-E day (on all the calendars when I was a boy) or Victory Day as it is called and celebrated still in Russia. Jane R and I are just a day (and some years) apart which makes it easier for us to track each other. She squealed on me last year to Mimi and GP and GM took me out to dinner to celebrate when I was in New Orleans and far from home. Y'all are the best and timing means nothing.

The new photo should definitely help MP recognize you, though the innocent facade fools neither him nor any of the rest of us.

  12. Well love, you got your wish. I didn't wish you "Happy Birthday" on your actual birthday. I hope that pleased you.

But I did last year. Nah, nah, nah.

  13. Just trying to drag it out for a month, that's all. Teehee. (Actually, I did not get home until after 11 last night and though I comment from work during down moments- my anonymous posts - I do not blog from work as we all know that is a major no-no.)
