I'd like to leave you with something
valuable, she said. You probably already
have, I said, but we take most of our
lives to remember that, even in the best
of times

I love "Story of the Day". I post the little stories probably only for Ann and me, and Ann gets them by email, too, so I suppose they're just for me. Anyway....
I love and appreciate them, too.
ReplyDeletePaulas, thank you! It's good to know someone else likes them.
ReplyDeleteI really look forward to them, Mimi! My BFF gave me Story People paintings at two critical points in my life, so I have a special fondness for them...
ReplyDeleteDoxy, today's story especially resonates with me.
ReplyDeleteI do get them in the mail but love to see them again here and know others are reading them
ReplyDeleteI read my first one right here a few weeks ago and promptly signed up for the daily email. As soon as I saw this one, I KNEW I could trust you to post it and give me a double dose of enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteThis one reminds me so much of how I feel about the loss of my mom 10 years ago. There is hardly a week that goes by that some seemingly insignificant memory of my past, takes on new resonance in the context of my present life. If only I had known...
Suzi, I feel that way about my sister. She was my best friend.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you had a double dose of pleasure.
