Mary Clara, I know that for birthdays, my hard drive is definitely full. I can't add more birthdays. September is our blitz month, with 4 birthdays and 1 anniversary.
Petty, I don't know how to do disks. I don't have a floppy drive, only a CD drive, which I don't know how to use, except to upload music.
The metaphor is so apt. Yes, I think Grandmere must be getting regular upgrades. She's quite up-to-date. Beware though, as my daughter said when she was five: "Computers are stupid, they only do what you tell them, not what you want."
Speak for yourself.
ReplyDeleteMy problem is that my hard drive seems to be just about full. I need more gigabytes in which to file more memories.
ReplyDeleteWe're not losing our memory. We just have so much more damn stuff to remember than a 22 year old hipster does.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say something about the hard drive but I see Mary Clara has beat me to it. Should I mention floppy discs then? Perhaps not.
ReplyDeleteUnless we're like Mimi who seems to be undergoing constant upgrades and always keeps ahead of the game.
ReplyDeleteLindy, don't blame me, blame Paul.

Counterlight, ain't that the truth?
Erika, I wish!
Grandmere --something must be said about mother boards too!
ReplyDeleteMargaret, I don't even know what a mother board is. Is there a father board? I just want the computer to work, and when it doesn't, I need help.

ReplyDeleteAmelia, your daughter was wise beyond her years.
ReplyDeleteI only yell at computors...
ReplyDeletei'm pretty tolerant with people, and little children and animals... but mashines... No.
