Nothing Takes The Place Of You

  1. I heard on the radio this morning that the Saints are 7 and 0. Should we get out our black and gold?

  2. Paul, yes you should get out your black and gold. As for me, I have my black and gold fleur-de-lis tattoo, so I'm always prepared.

  3. Comme tu es mignonne, et toujours prete. (Sorry, no accents at work.)

When I heard the Saints mentioned on the radio I instantly had images of the fans gathering with great dedication as I slowly drove my through them on the way to work. I could see the Superdome from my office window on the 23rd floor of Place St Charles.

  4. Oh, Mimi, I hope my dad is smiling down from heaven. All those years he had season tickets, from the old Tulane stadium days to the early days of the Superdome, were the years when some fans actually wore paperbags over their heads and went to games as the "unknown fans." He always hoped against hope for a championship season.

  5. Paul, how dare you post French without accents! Flattery will get you everywhere, and you know it, and you use it to great effect.

And ya saw dem. "Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?"

BooCat, ordinary fans find it harder and harder to buy the expensive tickets these days, partly due to the high costs of maintenance of the Superdome, with its suites for the fat cats and the salaries of the players which have zoomed into the stratosphere. Quel dommage!
