Eeeek! A Mouse!

I bought a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3000 for my laptop. Shoulda done it long ago. The mouse is much easier to work with than the little pad.

Wireless from my house runs slowly. Unless, I'm in a hotspot, it creeps along. We use At&T, which does not have its fastest service in our area. I'm told that it's on the way, but I can't find out when. I'm wondering if we should look into another company for service.

  1. Congratulations on your new toy!

I have no suggestions for wireless service --sorry Grandmere. We use something that costs $29 a year, Clearwire --and it seems fine. But, maybe it's me that's slow....

  2. Margaret, my wee mouse is red but otherwise like the picture. My desktop computer is faster, but it's connected to cable. If I go to the library or to Starbucks, I zip around the net. For some reason, at my son's house, I can sometimes hit a hotspot.

  3. I am really jealous! I am a MAC person trapped in front of a Microsoft computer!

  4. Wouldn't trade for my wireless mouse. I don't have a red one, though. Did you get it at a Mimi Shop or just a regular store?

  5. I'm so used to the mousepad on my Macbook that I get frustrated when I don't have that flexibility with the mouse on the iMac. I tried a mouse but love the pad. Of course I don't have to deal with two buttons. And mouses don't work particularly well on a lap.

  6. Ciss, I don't have a Mac. My laptop is an HP.

Lindy, no. Sad to say, I did not open Mimi Shop franchise in my town. The demographics are not right.

Piskie, I'm much faster with the mouse. I've only had my mouse for one day, but so far, so good. I love it.

  8. Susan, I doubt it. Which dirty thought is in your mind?

And now our Charter cable is out completely, and I must use the slow wireless until Friday, when Charter will send a real live person out to put us back in business.

  9. That mouse is very suggestive in a Rorschach test sort of way. . . perhaps it's just me.

  10. It's not just you, Susan. That was my first reaction, too :-)

  11. I'm just the first one with enough nerve, eh? So glad I'm not alone. I almost laughed myself silly at Margaret's first sentence.

  12. Susan, I confess that as soon as you mentioned dirty, I noticed, but not before then.

And there was my post with the picture of the corset, which Lapin and I noticed, but never said except in email, and no one else mentioned anything. I guess most people hate to be the first.

  13. Oh.
Well, NOW I see it. Now that you've called it to my attention. Computing will never be the same.

In fact, I'm enjoying it more already!

  14. Lindy, LOL!

I see that this is an all-female thread. I suppose the males of the species are fearful of joining the discussion.
