WHAT IS DAT?

One zealous fan leads a march of Saints fans down University Drive in Miami Gardens, FL, the site of the Super Bowl.

I don't know what this is, but it's wearing a mitre, a stole, and a cincture.

"No, June, do not say it!" Sorry. I had to have a word with myself.

See the entire wonderful slide show at TPM.

I have heard of the beatific vision. Perhaps this is the dostific vision.

  3. Did I mention that was the first Super Bowl game I've enjoyed in a decade or more?

Mostly because of the outcome, but also because it was such a good game.

  5. Rmj, as I said elsewhere, with the aid of the close-up camera work, I came to a new appreciation of the skills required to throw and catch the football. The quarterback must throw the ball where he gauges the receiver will be, not necessarily where he is. And the receivers sometimes catch the ball while jumping in the air or bent way over to the side. Since each team had a brilliant passing quarterback in place, the game was a passing game, and some of the catches were amazing to watch, especially in the replay close-ups. If football was always played this well, I might become a fan.

JCF, the guy's just having a little fun. :-)

  6. Mimi~ I think there's no cause for alarm. It looks to me like the RC Bishop of Barataria. Well that's my guess from the gold shrimp boots.

And, the logo on the mitre probably says "BOATS," and not "BOYS." Yea, that's the ticket!
