TEABAGGERS!

The Teabaggers tactics are crude,

and their protests decidedly rude.

Their ignorance flouted

and epithets shouted

show they wouldn't think if they could.

  1. Teabaggers is right. I refuse to use the Tea Party label out of respect for those patriots in Boston who risk their liberty to protest aganist the tyranny of taxation without representation. The teabaggers risk nothing are only angry that they have failed to elect representatives who agree with them. All I can say to them is "Stop whining and grow up!"

  2. My fear is that the behavior is going to continue. It seems as though the Republican party is encouraging a "mob mentality" that is frightening. When will Republican leaders take a stand for thoughtful and considered opposition? Will they wait until there is outright violence and someone or some number of people get hurt?

  5. We can laugh at them, but they are VDPs. Very Dangerous People. They are racist, sexist and homophobic. Sometimes I wonder if we live in the same universe, much less the same country.

I hope the FBI, CIA, and Homeland Security is watching these folks very carefully.

I suspect they're not. So, we should.

  6. Lots of giggles. The music says a lot. They don't know much about spelling (or science or much of anything). Too bad they don't understand the refrain about how much better the world is with love. BTW I feel sorry for all persons named Hugh. Maybe it's only one Hugh who mistakes America. And if they're going to call Obama names they should learn to spell correctly.

wv=wafaddli (good name for those obsessed with steeped beverages)

  7. Elizabeth, along with all you said, the Teabaggers are angry. Their behavior will continue. A good many of the politicians in the Republican Party egg them on. The behavior of certain of the Teabaggers will probably get worse. A few of the Teabaggers are very likely dangerous, and I hope the proper authorities are paying attention.

You laugh, or you cry. I see nothing wrong with ridiculing their ridiculous antics, keeping in mind that some of them are probably dangerous.

  8. VDP's indeed. I linked this at BB's yesterday in response to someone who screamed at me ""How dare YOU destroy our Church and then blame us for the schism!!" and much good it did. It's worth re-reading once in a while for the warm, self-righteous glow in engenders. And as a deadly serious reminder.

  9. Lapin, did you note the typo?

But behind this I believe there is a style of mind that is far from new and that is not necessarily right-wind.

I beg to differ. I believe that this style of mind IS necessarily a smelly right-wind.

  11. Ah no, m'dear. I get one of my greatest pleasures right nearly every day - my morning tea.

  12. Obama did not die in a timely way, so perhaps Drake's prayers about the Congressmen may not be answered in time to avert Armageddon.
