At least Ted Haggard stood up, admitted his conduct and took a step back from his public hypocrisy. This goof thinks we are all stupid enough to buy the "luggage carrier" line.
Riiiight. As it happened, Rekers set things up so he could rationalize that he never crossed the line in to sex -- it was all "companionship" and "massage." God forbid that they should make love -- that would have been sinful.
Yeah, there's a lot of schadenfreude possibility here -- but it's the self-deception and hypocrisy that appall. The actual incident seems tame. And please be kind to the rent-boy. He settled for something like $9.38 an hour because it was his first chance to travel outside the country. From the 45 pictures posted on Queerty website, he seems a nice, ordinary college undergraduate. And blogger Joe Jervis has been in touch with him and is arranging some support system. ReplyDelete"Whatever lifts your luggage" is going into the vernarcular, I have no doubt. The willowy 20-year-old is hardly the type one hires for heavy lifting.

ReplyDelete"Rekers often takes in foster children and ... four years ago he adopted a 16-year-old boy." This is from the web site of a Columbia, SC weekly. I have posted two comments from a local perspective (only one up, right now) after the piece.
This is worth all the laughs you can muster!
ReplyDeleteYou don't know that's the case.
