A BLESSED AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I bind unto myself this day
the strong name of the Trinity.
I humbly praise the aweful name:
the Three in One, the One in Three,
of whom all nature hath creation -
eternal Father, Spirit, Word,
Praise in the God of my salvation!
Salvation is of Christ the Lord.

I bind this day to me for ever
by power of faith:Christ's incarnation,
His baptism in the Jordan river,
His death on the cross for my salvation.
His bursting from the spicèd tomb,
His riding up the heavenly way,
His coming on the day of doom,
I bind unto myself today.

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ be with me this day.

We sang this hymn at my ordination. An appropriate way to begin a new year. Blessings to you and Tom!

Neal, I will post a prayer request for your beloved as soon as I can. I was sorry to read on Facebook that Tracy has an infection in her leg. Woe upon woe. I pray for a quick healing.
