Cathy, Republicans are in the majority in the US House of Representatives and increased their numbers in the Senate. At least on this side of the pond, we're going to have pain. Perhaps that's the context in which I think the song's forecast is probably right.
Anyway, I think it's a great song. I listened over and over, and I've ordered the album, which is from back in the 1990s, and I wondered how I missed it all these years.
Don't nobody like the song but me?

I love the song. It cuts a bit close to my depressed bone, but I have gone looking for it on iTunes.
