  3. Is it just me or is the joke more often on Jesus? ...

Maybe Christianity is better material for jokes.

  4. Thanks, Mimi! I laughed out loud.

The Yeats poem is one of my favorites; I'd be glad to have it part of the Scriptures.

  5. Cathy, do you think author favors Mo? He stopped in here one day to say what good sports we were to enjoy his strips and have a laugh on ourselves.

Penny, when I read the bit about the falconer, I thought, "Hey! Wait a minute!" The poem is one of my favorites, too.

  6. Well, I don't think he favours Mo exactly, I just get the impression sometimes that when the joke isn't on them both it's on Jesus, it's rarely just on Mo. But I may not have read enough of them to say.

  7. I've seen the joke on just Mo a number of times, but I haven't kept a count. Some of the strips go a bit too far for me to feel comfortable posting them.

  8. Loved it. As someone who has taught several courses on the Apocalypse, I must say that "the Book of Revelations" is like fingernails on a blackboard to me.

  9. Paul, "Revelations" has the same effect on me.

My thought was that the barmaid's response could have a double meaning, in that it was a revelation to her that the falconer quote was in the "Book of Revelation".
