UPDATE ON PAUL THE BB

From Paul:

Thanks again for all the prayers. Surgery is completed and I am home. About to take another analgesic. Bill is looking after me. I look awful, with a nosebag that holds the gauze for normal bleeding, but glad to be home. The doctor will remove the packing tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks be to God, the medical staff, and all who cared for Paul, and special thanks and prayers for Bill, his chief care-giver now.

Thanks for letting us know, Paul. Hugs, kisses, and more prayers for a speedy recovery.

  1. Thanks, sweetheart.

    WV: "flawses"

I trust the doc just fixed the flawses in my nose.

  5. I am not showing the comments to Bill; he could give you a list of my flawses. LOL

    So grateful for y'all.

Friend Bruce made chicken soup and had that for supper followed by a slice of Bill's fruitcake and some medicinal port.

  6. Chicken soup is just the thing, but go easy on the medicinal port, luv. Fruitcake, eh?

  7. Fruitcake would be medicinal for me, and the port of course. My mother soaked the FC in port for 2 months before we were allowed to have any. God, it was good!

I of course, know of no flawses that exist in your being.

  8. Susan, unawareness of my flawses is a benefit of our not yet having met in person.

We make such great potty-mouth buddies that we'd have too much fun to look for flawses.

  9. G'wan, Paul, you're even more perfect in person. Paul the Perfect Person. Such fine alliteration.

You seem mighty spry for someone just off the operating table.

  10. I actually shared the comments with Bill. I don't think he's buying that I am without flawses but he thinks I have pretty wonderful friends.

  11. ...he thinks I have pretty wonderful friends.

Paul, you do. And Bill sounds pretty wonderful, too.

  12. Trying to do my part, I fixed breakfast and lunch for Bill today. He one-upped me by a major cleaning and overhaul of my bathroom. Supplies are in order now, what a concept!

He took me to the doctor's office this afternoon where the packing was removed from my nose. I can breathe through my nose again, is not thoroughly yet at least partially. Hooray. The doctor is optimistic and we feel much better.

We stopped at the store on the way home (and Bill stopped at the pharmacy earlier). I have food and drink, medical supplies, books, movies, antibiotics and analgesics, and some friends lined up to check in on me for the next few days. I am already cleared to drive. Don't feel like going anywhere and more than happy to have just taken a pain pill, but life is looking up. (I still look like hell.)

We are all agreed that I have wonderful friends. TBTG.
