WHAT WOULD I DO ON A DATE WITH JUSTIN BIEBER?

When the email offer came from my local movie theater, I wondered. "What if I win? What will Justin and I do on our date?"

It seems the date will be planned for us. I will get to watch Justin's latest movie with him and my friends at my local movie theater. Problem solved!

  1. I'd take him to the zoo, buy him some cotton candy, and then get him home to his mother before supper. At the end of the date, I'd tell him not to forget his homework.

  2. That's about right, Counterlight. Justin is 16.

  3. Take your grandchildren to movie with you!

16? --his voice is changing... he's that age.

  4. Lapin, you don't like Justin's hairstyle, then?

Counterlight, I can't tell the age of youngsters any more. The young doctors around here just starting out in practice look about high school age to me, and I'm to put my life in their hands?

margaret, if I win, maybe they'll let me take my grandchildren.

So Justin is 16 going 17. Next month is the big day.

  5. The only thing I've done with a boy that age, I don't think Justin Bieber would want me to do . . . I mean, who wants to be spontaneously taught Sunday School?

  6. Never thought I'd get so old and crusty as to say that a kid need a haircut, but there it is. Saw a boy in a restaurant with his mother a couple of days ago, looked at him, & said to myself "What a dorky haircut!". Then I realized it was the Justin Clone Look. Also had no idea he's as old as he is. At any rate, that should shorten his shelf-life a bit. There again, look at Wayne Newton.

As to what to do if you won the "date" (not a concept one wants to even start to think about, is it?)? Auction it on eBay.

  7. Between your date with Justin and your morning with a single man, Mimi, your life has been pretty lively recently, huh?

  8. Lapin, yes, look at Wayne Newton. He was a keeper for a lot of folks.

There's no chance of my winning, because I didn't enter the contest, but the possibility was good blog fodder.

    Göran, do you think?

Cathy, my fantasy social life with movie stars has been busy lately. Last night, Justin was on Jon Stewart's Daily Show.

  9. Admit it, Grandmére. You've always had a thing for nice Canadian boys.
