TODAY IS NOT MARDI GRAS!

I removed my Mardi Gras post. Grandpère just came home and gave me the news. I need to get out more. :-(

  2. Amy, the post is still in Google Reader and will remain there for who knows how long, so my integrity as a blogger is forever RUINED.

Seriously, all I know to do when I make a mistake is humbly admit I was wrong. I find that folks are very forgiving.

  3. I think you should start partying anyway --that way you'll be well in to it by next Tuesday!

  5. It may not be Mardis Gras, but it is still Carnival, Fasching, or whatever else we call the season of parties before Lent!

  6. Jeffri, thanks for trying to make me feel better. I thought the party was over minutes from now. Whoo-hoo! A whole week left to party.

The damned post is still in Google Reader.

  8. Mimi, if it is any consolation, it will be 2038 before Mardi Gras/Shrove Tuesday is as late as it is this year (in 2038 Easter will be on the latest day possible--April 25--which is one day later than this year).

  9. Now then Mimi, the only reason I have tried to cheer you up with my remark is that you were fulminating repeatedly over the post still being in Google Reader. It may not be the world's most original observation but I meant it nicely.

  10. Bill, thank you. For the rest of you, do you realize that we have been in Carnival season since Twelfth Night? A long season, indeed!

Cathy, I know you meant your comment nicely, and I was rude. I'm sorry.

I'm bitter, I tell ya, bitter. The mistake is still in Google Reader. There is probably a way to delete the post from the reader, but I don't know how.
