Grady Warren is running for president. In the video, he declares teahad on the people in the country whom he does not like. And the people Grady doesn't like are not few in number. Teahad? I believe that's a new word. I've not heard teahad before now, but perhaps it's been around for longer than I know.
I'd find Grady's video incredible if I didn't hear similar talk with my own ears without the aid of YouTube. Still, I'm inclined to agree with Grady that uneducated citizens in our midst having the right to vote can be a real problem in this country.
A tip of the hat to Athenae at First Draft, who says:
You can nutpick on YouTube all day with these freaks, but I have the same confusion seeing this every damn time and I really, really would like somebody to solve it sociologically: Nothing is happening to this guy. Nobody is doing anything to him. Other people are existing, and they're living their lives and some of them are fuckups and some of them just speak Spanish in the store around him. Other people are a pain in the ass. They get in your way at the checkout line and they're loud at the doctor's office and they muck up things with their needs and their worries and their problems and their lives. I get it: The world would be so much easier for me if every experience outside my house consisted of just me getting the stuff done I need to get done....
Read the rest of her righteous rant.
"...to millions of men she is our fantasy wife."??
ReplyDeleteLapin, for the record, Sarah is not my fantasy wife, or as one male commenter says at Frist Draft, "Pass the barf bag."
ReplyDeleteAnother redefining of English. I like the term Tealiban. Fits this bigot.
ReplyDelete... where do you start?
ReplyDeleteAnd people accuse me of being too harsh when I lampoon these evil whackjobs...
Yeah, Piskie. Whew! The video is a lot worse the second time around.
ReplyDeleteFr Christian, how do you lampoon folks like Grady? They've already taken nuttiness and bigotry to the limit.
Believe I've seen more guys dream about Todd as the fantasy spouse
ReplyDeleteSeems that woman's even affecting word verification - "comming"!
Stan, you may be right about the fantasy spouse.
ReplyDelete"comming"!
Not here, I hope.
Teahad is perfectly acceptable, and Tealiban is the term I use for them now, exclusively.
ReplyDeleteThe answer is very simple: resign your membership of "the public." Never travel on public transport, have your shopping delivered and never, ever watch regional T.V. news. Works a treat.
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say? "Barack Hussein Obama. Mmm, mmm, mmm."
ReplyDeleteOn one of the websites that posted the video, a Native American commented, "Why don't you white people get the hell out of my country?" He has a point.
I just don't get it....to me the nuts just seem to be crawling out of the woodwork. Immigrants are what made this country.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it either, Anon.
ReplyDeleteThe African-Americans did not come of their own volition.
The Italians were despised.
The Irish were despised.
The Jews were despised.
The Poles were despised.
I could go on.
Now it's Hispanics and Middle Easterners who still see the US as the land of opportunity and come here to make a better life for themselves. The bigots amongst us view them as the despised ones.
