STORY OF THE DAY - ROUGHAGE

I used to eat popcorn for every meal, she
told me once. It made me feel like I was
in the movies & my life would turn out
happy in the end. Did it work? I said. I
don't know, she said, but I like to think
the roughage counts for something.

  1. Heh-heh (I eat a fair amount of cheddar popcorn. It's one of my vices)

  6. I love popcorn, too, and I was sorry to learn that the microwave popcorn is bad for you. We have an old popper that we paid about $7 for eons ago, but it still works. You have to add oil and watch it and listen for when the popping stops, or the corn will burn, because it's not automatic. Is it back to that?

  7. HARK! There is a thread of sameness/popcornliking going on here amongst the open-minded, the fair, the peaceful (mostly), the loving the inclusive, the generally adorable -- betcha ++Hank Orombi, ++Rowan Williams and Duncan Pitts don´t ever eat popcorn! Never have! Betcha they´ve never lusted after a Carmel Nut Popcorn cluster or a Peppermint Popcorn Ball! They aren´t the type, so easy to detect treachery at Church. There outta be better/secret questions at enthronements.

  8. Leonardo, your thinking is intricate and many-layered, but I'm with Cathy. I like it, too - I think.
