THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - HERMAN CAIN
I confess I'm a bit sorry to say good-bye to Herman Cain as a viable Republican candidate for president. I rather hoped Cain would be Obama's opponent.
None of the women in my Bible study must have been sexually harassed (or are in denial) because they all righteously agreed yesterday that "you can't even tell a joke anymore and some women will accuse you of harassment, blah, blah, blah." We have a long way to go with this issue. This, by the way, came up in a discussion of taking a stand as a Christian. Yikes. I agree that the church is way behind the curve on this.
Bex, I hear the same thing from men and women. Coming from the women, I am especially appalled. Even if the women have not been abused, where is the empathy?
Lapin, how thrilling! I'm sure you're sitting by the phone waiting for a call back.
A little blog-touting (I just can't say whoring given the subject matter) to say I wrote on this whole mess this morning chez moi.
ReplyDeleteI read and left a comment, Caminante.
ReplyDeleteHere's the link for others who wish to read your post.

ReplyDeleteCall on my answering machine last night from Herman. "Sorry he missed me" ..... "may call back". Now I'm all anticipation.
