I'm not a committee sort of person, either, but I've served on more committees than I cared to, not because of my smile, but because I couldn't say no.
I've learned to say no. I say, "At this point in my life, I've decided not to serve on committees and commit myself to attend meetings." And dat is dat.
This is not a problem I am ever going to have. Thankfully :)

ReplyDeleteI don't know who invented the idea of committees but I would think they have probably done time in purgatory for it as a suitable punishment.
