STORY OF THE DAY - DAY BREAK
liking each other because it's a beautiful day & it seems like a
waste of time to disagree about stuff the other one is refusing to
change out of sheer stubbornness
Ann, I didn't weigh in at the Café because I'm of two minds. I lean toward Baptism first, but then I think of Sarah Miles' conversion upon receiving Communion before being baptized as recounted in her book Take this Bread, and I wonder.... I am firm in my opinion that no priest or lay minister should refuse a person who goes forward for Communion, and, so far as I know, most ministers in the Episcopal Church would not. Of course, I could have said over there what I say here, but I did not. :-)
Love this - especially after the long comment stream on Communion without Baptism on Episcopal Café
