As I'm house sitting for two cats for the next three weeks, I understand these rules - NOT! But I love the two cats any ways! :-) (Thank goodness they don't seem to like the counters in the kitchen.)
Our cats were all relatively well-mannered. They jumped on the furniture to nap but not on the beds or the kitchen counters, and it was not because we "trained" them.
These are definite cat rules. The names change and the specific demand may change but "it's all cats all the time." Cats RULE!
