Actually, I hope Romney is right that all the forty-seven percenters are going to vote for Obama. I know plenty of people who I am sure pay income tax and who I am sure are going to vote for Obama. If you add all of us to the forty-seven percenters, Obama will win by a huge landslide!
Bill, I pay income tax, property tax, and sales tax, but I collect Social Security, and my health insurance is Medicare, so I am part of deadbeat crowd who are dependent on the government for entitlements.
Romney would not be nearly so rich as he is without government entitlements for big business. I guess he hasn't thought of that.
piedtype, great minds, indeed. Ann, my Facebook friend, gave me the idea, but only another great mind could appreciate the gift and put it to good use so quickly.
LOVE the shirt. Nice color too. Happy to be a 47 percenter. And if the taxes I pay help people who need food on the table, honored to do it. But money to support Mittens and his arrogant buddies to corporate self-entitlement. Nope!
I also pay federal income tax; state quarterly estimated taxes; real estate taxes; also in this state a vehicle tax in addition to a license plate fee; and a hefty sales tax on everything I buy. AND, in addition to that and this is probably true nation-wide, there are taxes on your utilities, and your internet communications, telephone, gasoline, trash pick-up. Did I miss anything?
Yes. Especially if that tax is on food. In Colorado food was not taxed. Here in NC there is a small tax on food but even a small tax on food is repugnant. Early childhood nutrition and learning are closely linked.
Taxes for "Provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare" I can deal with. Promote the corporate welfare? None of us should have to do that.
Also, inquiring minds want to know where you got the awesome shirt.

Bonnie, thanks. What Romney also forgets is that anyone who buys anything pays the regressive sales tax, even the poorest of the poor.
