Romney is now claiming credit once again for the health care bill which he signed into law in Massachusetts after distancing himself from it for quite a while.
Well, kinda, sorta.... With each new day one wonders what will be Romney's
position du jour on the various issues.
By the sound of things, with each new day even Romney wonders what will be Romney's position du jour.
ReplyDeleteLet's all hope he never gets his mitts (did you see what I did there?) on the big red button that makes things go BANG.
If I were Mittens, I'd surely have trouble keeping track. An advantage of telling the truth is that one has to remember only one story. Let's all hope...
ReplyDeleteOne would think that a candidate like Romney who, it seems, cannot open his mouth without sounding either indecisive, dishonest or just plain dense would be a boon to the Democrats. Then one remembers that Dubya was twice elected - accusations of cheating his way in notwithstanding - and is suddenly less optimistic.
ReplyDeleteRomney comes across as a phoney to almost everyone. There's a real person under the mask, but only a few get to see that person. Of course, some of us still would not want the man behind the mask to be president, but some might.
DeleteOn the other hand, Bush was likeable to a good many people. I don't know if, "He's someone I'd like to have a beer with," made it across the sea, but many more wanted to have a beer with Bush rather than with either Gore or Kerry. I don't know what the person of choice to have a beer with has to do with being president, and Bush was most definitely not my choice.
Of course, the question can't be applied to Romney, because he doesn't drink beer or any other form of alcohol.
