There's truth in what you say, Governor. My question for you is do you like us, us being the citizens of the state in which you serve as governor? Louisiana is the name of the state way down in the South, remember? Yes, I knew you would. My next question is, if you like us, why are you so seldom here in Louisiana with the people of the state of which you are governor?"If we want people to like us, we have to like them first."

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY - BOBBY JINDAL

Too busy being a "rising star" of the GOP I guess...
ReplyDeleteDavid, I keep thinking Republicans will wise up, and Jindal will be a falling star, but I wouldn't bet on it.
DeleteDavid - The thing about stars, and astronomers will confirm this, is that they are so far away that by the time their light reaches us, they may have already used up all their fuel, died of their own success. Sometimes that can be a good thing.
ReplyDeleteJindal's star flamed out and fell a while back here in Louisiana. I wish Republicans around the country would have a look. If the governor becomes a candidate for a major national office, the opposition will have fertile ground to plow.
DeleteBecause he is running for president -- who cares about Louisiana (since Huey Long died, anyway ...)
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Jindal is running for president, Prior Aelred, but he'll settle for veep, too.
DeleteMeanwhile, from afar, he's been wrecking the educational and health-care systems of the state. Guess he figures we should be sick and stupid.
ReplyDeleteOrmonde, I've already written a long post documenting the atrocities, but it won't be the last.
