Dear Grandmere - it is to laugh, n'est pas? and having caused you to laugh today, my life once again has purpose! and just asking: do border collies like to play dress up in satin and lace? never had a border collie, but our mutts never would have stood for a single flounce and barely tolerated collars ...
Marthe, I've never had a border collie, so I don't know. Our dogs have all been mixed breed rescues. Rusty, the wonder dog, who lived with us before Diana, would dress up to a point. When my son still lived with us, he'd take him along in his truck, and Rusty sat upright in the passenger seat, sometimes wearing sunglasses and a straw hat. Drivers passing by often did double-takes, which means the arrangement was probably a road hazard. I wish we had a photo. My Facebook photo is Diana wearing Mardi Gras beads, but that's probably as far as she would go.
Well, bishops do carry shepherd's crooks, come to think of it.....our Border collie used to try to herd the cats, but they were too independent to put up with his nonsense. He did, however succeed with rounding up the kids when they were small. He was a great dog despite being bullied by our other, older collie. Sometimes I thought he was smarter than all the rest of us put together :>) nij
Nij, I believe you. Border collies are known for their intelligence, and for that very reason, the idea of owning one of the breed is daunting to me. I fear the dog would be too much for me. Besides, they need lots of exercise, and I'm getting old.
Just as little understanding of lay ministry?

Bossiness in the DNA plus a tendency to drool?
DeleteJCF, sometimes I have to Google your emoticons, because I don't know what they mean. I couldn't find your latest, so you'll have to translate.
DeleteYou're spot on about many, but not all bishops (and border collies) not understanding lay ministry.
Marthe, after LOL, I'll say no more about your comment. :-D (Easy one, JCF.)
