It seems to be trying to show a JPG that's at an address that begins with localhost: which would be a picture that's that's on your computer rather than on a public host. I think. And that wouldn't work. A little slip in specifying the location of the picture -- and naturally it would look perfectly normal to you, since you *can* see a picture that's on our own machine.
Why yes, yes we can ... and I know what happened: spontaneous couch explosion ... which happens when the owner spends more than 30 consecutive hours watching obscure league college basketball tournaments in an effort to get his/her March Madness bracket just perfect. Sadly, said owner decamped to attend to otherwise ignored bodily functions and the dog did what dogs do - take over - at an inauspicious moment. Still, not so scared by the explosion as to actually vacate the chair ... so it must be a retired firehouse dalmation :-)
I think I know what happened, too, but I won't take the time to explain. From now on, I'll load the pictures the way I did on the third try.
Perhaps what you say, Marthe. On the other hand, it could be a wicked witch making my pictures go away. She may be napping now and return to plague me when she wakes up.
??
ReplyDeleteDon't know what happened. The picture disappeared. I'll see if it stays this time.

Does this help?
I see only a little red X.
ReplyDeleteI can't see the picture either. Why does the picture stay when I upload to Facebook?
ReplyDelete"Can you see me now?" says the doggie?

Yes, it's that expression of surprise and "scared to death" which reveals doggie's pure sanctity. ;-p
ReplyDeleteLook at that face - the very soul of innocence.
