Home
again, home again, jiggety-jig. No pig. Slept a good sleep in my own
wonderful bed, but I'm still beyond tired and beyond busy, so not much
time for blogging yet. Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes.
I just talked to my daughter, and she was amazed at the hospitality
extended to me while I was in England. "You are so lucky to know people
like that!" Yes, I am and I'm still awestruck at the generous
hospitality of so many lovely people.
I think I may never get
on a plane to go anywhere again. If I can't go by car or by train, as a friend suggested, I won't go. Jet
Blue and British Airways were both very good, but Southwest.... And
the airports are all terrible places.
Later, my sweets.
Welcome home!
ReplyDeleteThank you, margaret. I had a GREAT time - lots of pictures and lots to tell, but it will take time.
DeleteI missed reading your daily postings while I was away.
I am looking forward to reading all your stories and see the pictures!
DeleteFirst story posted. This time I will try to do the stories in order, but I make no promises.
DeleteTHERE you are! Welcome home, Mwah!
ReplyDeleteI thought of you, last week, watching the (probably too scary for you) show "American Horror Story: Coven." It's set in New Orleans, so some of the history may be familiar to you, Mimi. A horror of a slaveowner, Madame LaLurie (her house is a NOLA historic place?), has been dug up, alive. Played by Kathy Bates, she watched the "magic box" (TV) and sees President Obama. She's disbelieving, but the lead witch (played by Jessica Lange) says she "voted for him, twice".
I thought: heh, there's a least one other, um, mature white Louisiana woman who can make that same claim! *LOL*
Rest up, cher: good to have you back!
Mwah back to you, JCF. I'm too busy to watch TV. I had to unpack, wash two loads of clothes, and keep an appointment with a dermatologist.
DeleteOur hemisphere is never the same without you. (know that is a very big deal). Welcome home, Len
ReplyDeleteThanks, Len. It's good to be home.
DeleteWelcome home, Mimi! Take care of your jet lag first. looking forward to your travel tales!
ReplyDeleteThank you, whiteycat. I will take care, and the posts will come in time. I haven't even had a chance to load my pictures onto the computer.
DeleteYay! Mimi's home!
ReplyDeleteamyj
Yay! I'm home again and very glad to be home. My bed!
DeleteWelcome back, good to see your posts again. We had only two or three major earth-shaking, world-ending national crises (budget, default, Obamacare website snafu) while you were gone - I wonder what it all sounded like in England, or if it appeared on your personal radar at all.
ReplyDeleteRuss, since I had no access to the internet part of the time, I missed a good deal of the drama. I did try to see if Obama and the Dems would stand firm, and I'm pleased they did. Who could miss the insanity of the Tea Party Republicans?
DeleteSecond-place bed is also good.
ReplyDeleteSecond-place bed was excellent.
