MadPriest

There once was a man called MadPriest.
Of his humor he served up a feast.
He stirred up a storm
To his bishop's alarm.
Now he's merry, but churchless, poor priest.

  1. Ooooh, good one! My only suggestion would be to use "beast" as your last word. ;-)

  2. We want MP still to have a church. Hope your poem isn't prescient.

Caminante, You mean besides OCICBW? Oh, that's right. We don't pay him.

But MP did talk a while back about being in a precarious position vis-a-vis his bishop about getting a position in a church.

Let's pray his bishop doesn't read my blog, and let's pray, especially - and seriously - that he does find a position in a church.

  4. I simply can't imagine how the ecclesiastical powers that be could be upset with the dear man :)

  5. Richard, I expect that by now MP has burned every bridge within miles.

    Nevertheless, we must hope.

  6. I'll play. Jake has closed the comments down, none too soon.

There once was a grandmére called Mimi
She liked to read and write postings that were most seamy
    Her rector found out
    He was quite devout
And now she must be seemly, poor Mimi

  7. Excellent, KJ.

I write this blog picturing my rector looking over my shoulder. So far, I have told only one person from my church about it. I don't know if he has told anyone else. Even if he has, I don't think there are many blog readers in the congregation.

  8. I just thought of the perfect new career for MP. He could start a home for out of work fox hounds.

  10. Lindy, how did you sniff out this old post? If I did not get emails about new comments, I would never have found this, "You make my day," comment. Thank you.
