As you probably know, Al Gore, the man who, had justice prevailed, would likely be president of the US today, has won the Nobel Peace Prize, together with the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. But for the machinations of the Bush gang and the collusion of the US Supreme Court, he'd have been president in 2000 and likely reelected in 2004.
Congratulations! It's a well-deserved honor.
A well deserved award that also increases the profile of the issue.

I heard it here first! Thanks for the news flash, Mimi!
ReplyDeleteJan, I'm tickled to death. I brought you good news.
ReplyDeleteGreat news.
ReplyDeleteGore deserves it and we rae all indebted to him.
Gore is a good man. To be honest, I thought he ran a terrible campaign in 2000. He should have won big, big enough that the election couldn't be stolen from him. He let his misguided handlers tell him what to do, and in the end, the real Al Gore did not come through. He looked like a pod.
ReplyDeleteThen, too, he shunned Bill Clinton during the campaign, although, through all his troubles, Clinton remained popular with the people.
