Growing veggies is easy. Eating them is the hard part. I wish I could just drool over a plate of arugula and kale, but to me it might as well be a plate of lawn clippings. I do like garden fresh tomatoes though, with a little vinaigrette, it's like steak.
But there's good news. They've lifted the warning on tomatoes. Now hot peppers are the suspected culprit--and those I can live without. (Clearly, I am NOT Cajun.)
This language problem. I had to go to wikipedia to find what a BLT was. Sounds terrible. My doctor would be disappointed to know I had bacon one morning at a hotel in Europe, had not eaten it for years, all that cholesterol. No problems with tomatoes and lettuce here downunder.
Pork fat rules!!!!
ReplyDeleteLMAO!!
ReplyDeleteI was on Leonardo's blog and saw this!!
OMG!!
Mimi, ..it's best to grow your own to be perfectly safe.....(not an admission to anything).
Growing veggies is so easy,...well for some..
David G, we do. We're eating our own tomatoes now, and we ate our own lettuce all winter.

I'm with you, counterlight. If I could, I'd eat almost nothing but meat, cheese, eggs, and ice cream.
ReplyDeleteWell, I DO like fruit...including tomatoes.
What's wrong with you people? I could live on salads and fruit, along with cheese and eggs.

ReplyDeleteApparently, I was supposed to incarnate as a lion or a tiger---but I got sent down the wrong chute. ;-)
This was funny.

Mmmmm...baaaaacon.
ReplyDeleteRuth, I live without them too. I like my hot seasoning from Tabasco Suace.
ReplyDeleteDavid, I didn't know that armadillos like bacon?

ReplyDeleteBrian, forgive me. Next time I'll translate. I forget that I have an international readership.
