  5. Happy New Year, Gram. I posted a song on my blog with a wink and a nod to you - it's Maria Muldaur from her Louisiana Love Call album. MP gave me some advise on how to use hipcast and avoid trouble so I didn't put out too much info on the posting. I hope you like it.

  6. Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Are you doing the blackeyed pea and cornbread tradition this year?

  7. Thank you all for the good wishes.

Greg, all the way from Kent! Thanks for leaving a word.

Renz, I listened to your song and loved it. The song speaks the truth.

Counterlight, my family didn't do the black-eyed peas and cornbread traditional meal. Maybe that's why we've had such bad luck over the years. No, I'm not doing it, rather Grandpère is not doing it. I asked him if his mother cooked the dish, and he said no.

He's been gone for a few days, and he said that I should post a picture of the inside of our refrigerator. I asked why. He said, "Because it's empty! You don't even shop for groceries when I'm gone". He's right.

  12. The News Year's Eve I spent in the Quarter years ago was hands down the wildest, and most crowded, I've ever experienced ;)

Happy New Year, beloved Grandmère !
